5 Nail Trends Addis Brides Are Loving This Season

Bridal season in Addis Ababa always brings its own take on what's trending elsewhere — and this year the nail chair has been busy. Here are the five looks our clients keep asking for, and why they work so well for a wedding day that has to last from the ceremony to the last song at the reception.

1. Chrome French tips

A soft, modern twist on the classic French manicure — a mirror-chrome tip instead of the usual white line. It photographs beautifully under both daylight and reception lighting, which is exactly why it's become a go-to for brides.

2. Hand-painted habesha-inspired art

We're seeing more brides ask for delicate hand-painted patterns inspired by traditional textile motifs — usually on one or two accent nails rather than the whole set, so it stays elegant rather than busy.

"The best bridal nails are the ones you barely notice in photos — until you look closely."

3. Long-lasting gel over acrylic

For length without the extra weight of acrylic, more brides are choosing gel extensions this season. They hold up well through a long day of hand-holding, ring photos and dancing.

4. Soft milky nudes

A barely-there, milky nude finish continues to be the safest and most requested bridal base — flattering on every skin tone and easy to match to any dress.

5. Matching mother-of-the-bride sets

A smaller trend, but a lovely one: brides booking a coordinating (not identical) manicure for their mother or bridal party as part of the morning-of routine.

If you're planning a wedding and want to talk through options, message us on WhatsApp or book a consultation — we'll help you pick a look that suits your dress, skin tone and how long you need it to last.
